She has a variety of interests within the surgical field, including inguinal and complex hernia repairs, stomach, small bowel and colon surgery, along with gallbladder and various lumps and bumps. She believes in taking the time to listen and get to know her patients and working with them to find the best solution for their surgical issues.

In her spare time, she loves to enjoy the Colorado sunshine, whether by biking, skiing, hiking or gourmet picnicking at one of our beautiful parks. Dr. Stephania Timothy grew up in Tulsa, OK, and graduated from Baylor University in 1993 with a degree in Biology.  Upon graduation from college, Dr. Timothy was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force Reserves.  She then attended the University of Oklahoma Medical School while also spending part of her time serving at several different Air Force hospitals.  Upon completion of medical school, she then completed her general surgery residency at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans and started active duty with the USAF in 2002 and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Dr. Timothy joined the practice initially in 2004 while serving at the United States Air Force Academy and primarily provided trauma and acute care surgery coverage.  After having her first child, Dr. Timothy honorably separated from the military and she and her physician husband both found civilian practice opportunities in Washington state.  During this time, Dr. Timothy provided elective, acute and trauma surgical services as well as had her second son.  Dr. Timothy always loved Colorado and returned with her family in 2010.  Dr. Timothy rejoined the practice in 2014 and has continued to provide acute care surgery/trauma and elective services in Littleton as well as the Western Slope of Colorado.  Dr. Timothy also recommissioned with the military US Army and serves in the reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel and member of the Forward Resuscitation and Surgical Team.

Dr. Timothy recalls that she knew she would be surgeon at age 10 and feels it truly is a calling.  She has a variety of interests within general surgery including hernia, breast, small bowel, and colon surgeries including endoscopy, as well as gallbladder and minor anorectal and surgical excisions.  Dr. Timothy feels honored to be able to serve and aid patients in their time of need.  She feels strongly about listening to patient concerns and helping to guide patients to the best surgical options for their disease process.

When Dr. Timothy is not drilling with the US Army, she enjoys all outdoor activities and spends most of her free time skiing and hiking in the beautiful Colorado mountains.  She is married with two sons and her husband is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician providing care on the Western Slope of Colorado.
