Crea L. Fusco, M.D., F.A.C.S. Board Certified General Surgeon



Dr. Crea Fusco grew up in Freeport, Illinois, and graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1999 with a degree in Sociology and a focus in Biology. She then used her degree and passion in helping others to travel to rural Kenya and teach HIV education. Following her return, she attended Rush University Medical School in Chicago where she was very active in community outreach programs. She graduated medical school in 2004 and completed her General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care fellowship in 2010 at Rush University and Cook County Hospitals in Chicago. 


Dr. Fusco joined the practice in 2010. She cares for patients at both Porter and Littleton hospitals and is active in both Trauma and General surgery. She serves as the Chair of Surgical Services at Littleton Hospital since January 2014 and the Director of Trauma Services at Porter Hospital from August 2014 to December 2019. Dr. Fusco currently is the Director of Trauma Services at Littleton Hospital.

Dr. Fusco truly loves being a surgeon, connecting with her patients and caring for them both in and outside the hospital setting. She has a variety of interests within the surgical field, including inguinal and complex hernia repairs, stomach, small bowel and colon surgery, along with gallbladder and various lumps and bumps. She believes in taking the time to listen and get to know her patients and working with them to find the best solution for their surgical issues.


In her spare time, she loves to enjoy the Colorado sunshine, whether by biking, skiing, hiking or gourmet picnicking at one of our beautiful parks. She loves going to the opera, the symphony, and dining at great restaurants in the city with her family. She is married, has twin boys, and a very large Great Dane.

Peter H. Phan, M.D., F.A.C.S. Board Certified General Surgeon



Dr. Phan is a board-certified general surgeon originally from Washington State.  He completed surgical residency training in 2010 and went on to serve as a general surgeon for four years in the United States Air Force.  He deployed three times to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, providing surgical care to American and Coalition service members.  During this time, Dr. Phan also served at St. Louis University (SLU) Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.  He honed is trauma and surgical skills by caring for a wide range of patients from active-duty military members to inner city trauma victims. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Surgery at SLU, he had the privilege of training residents, fellows and medical students.


Joining Dr. Fusco in 2015, Dr. Phan is excited to serve the patients of the South Denver area.  He enjoys putting patients at ease by carefully explaining their treatment options in a gentle and easy-to-understand manner.  His clinical experience and interests range from hernia repairs to gastrointestinal, colon, and gallbladder disorders.


Dr. Phan and his wife love raising their five children here in Colorado.  Together, they enjoy cooking, hiking, reading, or just sitting on their front porch sipping coffee in the morning sunshine.

Rebecca A. Deal, M.D. Board Certified General Surgeon



Dr. Rebecca Deal grew up all over the country living in California, Florida, Kentucky, and then finally settling in Illinois where she graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in psychology and a focus in Biology and Chemistry. During her time at University of Illinois, she became an Organic Chemistry teaching assistant where she met her fellow teaching assistant and future husband. Luckily, both Dr. Deal and her husband were accepted at Rush University Medical School in Chicago. Dr. Deal was very active in community outreach programs and medical student leadership in Chicago. She graduated medical school in 2013 and completed her General Surgery in 2020 at Rush University and Cook County Hospitals in Chicago. During her training she was able to perform extensive research on bariatric surgery and liver regeneration surgery.


Dr. Deal joined the practice in 2020. She truly loves the art and science of being a surgeon and the connection she has with her patients. She believes that being able to operate on her people during their time of need is a great privilege and she enjoys taking the time to explain all aspects of their care within and outside of the operating room.


She enjoys all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. She spends her spare time hiking, skiing, and enjoying all the beautiful parks around the state. She is married with 2 cats and is excited to get a dog as a hiking buddy in the near future.
